Thermal & Acoustic Insulation

Precision-engineered insulation for high-performance environments
Kewell Converters designs and manufactures high-performance thermal and acoustic foam insulation for sectors where quality, compliance, and durability are non-negotiable. Our foam insulation products are custom-designed to enhance performance, protect sensitive components, and meet strict regulatory standards. Whether you need lightweight thermal protection for aerospace interiors or flame-retardant acoustic foam for military enclosures, Kewell Converters delivers proven results with precision and efficiency.

Specialist acoustic foam
Kewell Converters supplies and fabricates specialist acoustic foam products designed to absorb sound, reduce vibration, and meet the highest levels of fire safety. We work with performance foams such as Carpenter Fireseal™ and other high-grade polyurethane foams, which are widely used across aerospace, defence, and critical industrial environments.
Our acoustic foam features open-cell structures that enhance sound absorption while maintaining excellent mechanical stability. These foams are engineered to:
- Reduce noise in HVAC, military vehicles, and aircraft cabins
- Line enclosures around generators, compressors, or engines
- Meet key fire-resistance standards (EN 13501 B-s1, d0, BS476 Class 0, UL94 V-O)
Applications of acoustic foam
We fabricate acoustic foam into blocks, panels, or strips in shapes such as wedges, pyramids, or convoluted (eggbox) forms. Every component is made to your exact drawings and specifications. We can provide acoustic foam with self-adhesive backing and in roll, sheet, or cut-to-size form to support your application needs.

Engineered thermal foam (thermofoam)
Thermofoams from Kewell Converters are engineered to insulate, protect and perform in extreme thermal environments. Designed using high-quality EVA, PE and closed-cell crosslinked foams, these materials are ideal for projects that demand lightweight, thermally resistant and mechanically durable solutions.
Our thermofoams are valued for:
- Excellent insulation from -70°C to +200°C
- Compression mouldability into complex forms
- Strong yet lightweight characteristics
- Eco-conscious production with minimal waste
Applications of thermofoams
Thermal foam parts are fabricated or thermoformed in-house to suit a wide range of applications.
All products are cut, moulded, or laminated at our Kent-based facility, using CAD-optimised processes and industry-leading foam fabrication technology. Our in-house engineering team works closely with your designers and engineers to ensure optimal design, fit and function from concept through to delivery.
